1. Scope and accountability
This policy applies to personal information controlled by Corbel through corbelops.com, direct website-related email, and the booking path. “Corbel,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Corbel Ops Inc., a Canadian federal corporation.
The Privacy Officer is accountable for this policy and for privacy questions, access requests, corrections, and complaints. Engagement-specific data handling may also be governed by a written agreement and data schedule.
2. Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
When you email Corbel, request information, book a call, or send learning interest, we may receive your name, email address, organization, role, scheduling details, message, learning interests, accessibility or format needs you choose to share, and other information you include.
Do not send credentials or confidential, health, legal, financial, customer, or other sensitive information through a public website path unless Corbel has approved a protected method for the engagement.
Technical information
Our hosting and security logs may record an IP address, browser or device type, requested URL, date and time, referring page, and diagnostic or security events. We use these records to deliver, troubleshoot, measure basic reliability, prevent abuse, and protect the website.
Tools that stay local until you act
The AI Fluency Review runs in your browser. Corbel does not receive your answers or result through that review.
The learning-interest form creates a prepared email or copyable message in your browser. Nothing is sent to Corbel unless you choose to send the prepared email yourself.
3. How we use personal information
Corbel uses personal information only for reasonable, identified purposes, including to:
- reply to an inquiry, arrange a call, or handle a learning request;
- evaluate fit, prepare requested information, and deliver agreed services;
- maintain records of consent, requests, decisions, and the business relationship;
- operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the website and contact paths;
- meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, dispute, and security obligations; and
- send optional learning or commercial updates only where consent or another lawful basis permits it.
Consent for one request is not treated as general marketing consent. Commercial email sent by Corbel will identify Corbel and provide a working way to unsubscribe where required.
4. When information is disclosed
Corbel may provide information to service providers that perform a defined function for us, subject to appropriate limits. Current website-related providers can include:
- website hosting, deployment, security, and infrastructure providers;
- email delivery providers, including Resend, to deliver requested reports, notify Corbel of the request, and send optional updates when you have separately consented;
- customer relationship management providers, including Attio when configured, to record requests, consent, decisions, and relevant relationship context;
- calendar and scheduling providers, including Cal.com when you open or use the booking path;
- professional advisers and vendors supporting an agreed service; and
- authorities or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law, or reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, and security.
Corbel does not sell personal information. We do not disclose it for third-party behavioural advertising. If Corbel is involved in a financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer, relevant information may be disclosed under appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
5. Cookies, booking, and third-party sites
The Corbel site does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural analytics. Basic hosting and security records are still created as described above.
Cal.com content loads when you choose a booking action. Cal.com may use cookies or similar technologies and process information under its own privacy policy. Links to LinkedIn and other third-party sites are also governed by those providers once you leave Corbel or use their embedded service.
6. Processing outside Canada
Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada. Information in another jurisdiction may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national-security authorities under that jurisdiction’s laws. Corbel assesses providers and limits their use of information to the service they perform.
7. Retention and safeguards
Corbel keeps personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the identified purpose, the relationship, legitimate recordkeeping, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and context. Information is then deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of when appropriate.
Corbel uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity and context of the information. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so Corbel cannot promise absolute security.
8. Your choices and access rights
You may ask Corbel to explain the personal information it holds about you and how it has been used or disclosed. Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may request access, correct, or challenge the accuracy of that information.
You may withdraw consent for future optional uses, including optional updates, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawing consent does not affect prior lawful use and may prevent Corbel from completing a request that depends on the information.
9. Questions and complaints
Send a privacy question, access or correction request, consent withdrawal, or complaint to the Privacy Officer at hello@corbelops.com. Corbel may ask for enough information to verify identity and locate the relevant records.
10. Policy changes
Corbel may update this policy as the website, providers, or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current published version. Material changes will be presented on this page or through another reasonable notice.
